November 2024 Prayer Targets

Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light, for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth. Test and prove what pleases the Lord. Have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. Ephesians 5:6-11

For the Body of Christ, let's pray:

  • That in gratitude for our deliverance from darkness, we live in continual surrender to the Holy Spirit, bearing His fruits and discerning and rejecting deeds of darkness.

  • That we diligently seek and follow Truth (Jesus), so that we resist being deceived and are available to lead others to Truth.

  • For those enduring persecution for the sake of Christ we pray they experience the comforting presence of God, be strengthened in their testimony of His faithfulness, feel supported through our prayers, and receive practical help to meet their needs.

  • Participate on November 3, 2024 in the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.  Join in praying with the world-wide body of Christ here or here.

For our nation, state and communities, pray for:

  • The elections, may Christian's steward their votes with biblically informed wisdom, find clarity to decide confusing ballot measures. Pray for integrity in handling and counting ballots;

  • Peace and order to rule over post-election activities, and any plans for chaos to be thwarted;

  • Veteran's Day, November 11, safety over the parade in Albany; may veterans be honored for their sacrificial service. Pray for those who are underserved or feel forgotten to find care and Christ's redeeming love.

  • Deployed military to seek God's guidance in their duties and peace for their families in trusting Him for their safe return.

  • First responders, medical, fire, and law enforcement of Albany and Linn County: wisdom and safety in responding to extra activities.

  • Albany teachers' union will reconcile with the district administration to avoid a strike.

  • Mid Valley Fellowship, a ministry that counsels and disciples those seeking sexual and relational wholeness. Ask God's blessing on their benefit dinner on November 8. RSVP here. Pray for courage and peace for those sharing their testimonies.

Mid-Valley Women of Community Bible studies

  • We praise God for and ask continued blessing upon The Sermon on the Mount studies, of which there are 21 classes in 17 churches spanning 12 cities! May our love for Jesus and one another grow and produce fruit that adds to and strengthens God's family.

  • Our community outreach to bless Mercy House International, a local ministry that provides safety, hope, healing and restoration for women and their children at risk or recovering from domestic abuse.

  • Pray for generous outpouring for their practical needs, and wisdom to help them know and grow in Christ.
